Memory in the printer
Today the majority of HP's LaserJets support the use of Flash memory modules as well as Harddisks. So there are numerous possibilities for taking advantage of the functionality of the laser printer.

All the memory modules have the advantage that the e-forms or fonts or similar resources, stored on the device, are always available when the printer is turned on. Resources stored in the printer RAM have to be downloaded again every time the printer has been turned off. By using these devices instead you save time, you increase your print speed at the same as you ensure your same high print quality.

The memory modules are installed in the printer's expansion slots; today these modules are either SIMM, DIMMor Memory Flash Card and the format is either EuroForm Flash or HP FSA.

The Intelligent Barcode Solution JetCAPS BarSIMM/JetCAPS BarDIMM is the perfect barcode solution for HP LaserJet printers, and is a solution developed by JetCAPS Europe Labs. The JetCAPS BarSIMM/JetCAPS BarDIMM allows barcode print in any size and direction with intelligent checksum calculations and text placement. The information that should be included in the barcode, just need to be send to the printer, and then the intelligent JetCAPS BarSIMM/JetCAPS BarDIMM will take care of the rest. SAP JetCAPS BarSIMM/JetCAPS BarDIMM barcodes are de-facto standard for SAP systems. The product is approved by SAP, who has also documented the product via OSS notes (#5196 and #45643).
