Why Use Barcodes?
The use of barcodes for product identification, data reading and tracing of for instance shipments is increasing in all areas of companies and institutions. Also within printing barcodes, the companies shift from centralized batch print to printing
barcodes on labels, shipment papers etc. when needed.
Examples of barcode use could include: transportation companies, who mark packages and shipment papers with barcodes, which are scanned several times during the transportation in order to obtain exact tracking of the route of the packages. Companies also use barcodes to uniquely identify all objects such as stock items, so that all objects can be identified in production and warehouse purposes.
Barcodes can be delivered on different medias: MFC, DIMM, SIMM, Dongle, or Softfont (also as TrueType fonts). The media type depends on which printer the barcodes should be printed on and what requirements you have of the solution.
